ALINDY is out now in the US!

Well folks, it’s officially happened - ANNIE LEBLANC IS NOT DEAD YET is now out in the United States!

After a whirlwind two weeks spent in the States (featuring chicken pox, roadtrips, Disneyland, a quick visit to my old high school, lunch with friends, craft trips) I was fortunate enough to hold two launch events in my home state of California.

The first was in San Diego, which was incredibly special - it was held at the fabulous Mysterious Galaxy Bookstore and attended by pretty much my entire family, childhood friends and more or less everyone my dad has ever met (he’s my hype man). This book is the first thing I’ve written that’s set anywhere near my hometown, and a lot of the experiences I write about are ones I had myself. So it was really special to not only have an event like this here, but to have so many people that had these experiences alongside me in the audience. It definitely made for a really great atmosphere, and I was so, so proud.

Huge shout out goes to the MG staff for hosting me, and to Leanne Schwartz for being such an amazing conversation partner. She was so warm and engaging, and wholeheartedly embraced my weirdness.

The very next day, we were off to Los Angeles to the Ripped Bodice for launch time part two!

This is where another chunk of my friends and family live, so this was going to be another special one. I was lucky enough to have fellow Macmillan authors Jayci Lee and Jennifer Chen in conversation wtih me this time, and they were equally fantastic. This conversation felt a little sillier, which is my tendency when I feel comfortable. And I’d been able to read Jayci and Jennifer’s books ahead of our chat, so I felt like I knew them already.

I’ve had a launch party before, but these ones being so close to home made them extra personal. I feel so privileged to be able to have had them at all, and to have had so many great authors by my side. Thank you to everyone that attended, has bought a book so far, just been supportive in general - it all means so much, and I’m so grateful.

Next up comes the UK launch party! I’m feeling a lot more laidback about this one, as it’s closer to (my physical) home. I’ll be back with a report on how it’s all gone!
